Soulful, beautiful and full of sass, only begins to describe this latest addition to the Hacienda Records family of artists. In a class all by herself, Hilda adds power and intensity to the Latin world. This 24-year-old singer/songwriter can captivate any audience with her special blend of blues, soul, pop, rock and Latin influences. Born in 1983, Hilda's first solo performance was at the tender age of 4, in a Baptist Church in her hometown of Aransas Pass, Texas. She continued singing at many social events through her youth and teen years. While attending Texas A & M University, Hilda majored in music and studied voice with famed vocal coach Flicka Rahn. During her collage years, Hilda performed recitals not only as a vocalist, but also on piano and flute.

In 2002, Hilda auditioned and was hired as vocalist for a Corpus Christi blues band known as Phive, it was in those years that Hilda began to grow as a performer and was introduced to music as a profession. Her bubbly personality has made her a favorite in public circles, and Hilda also became a favorite to open sporting events with the singing of our National Anthem. As one who is always willing to perform at charities and benefits, Hilda has shared the stage with such national talents as Jay Leno and Clint Black. These benefits have helped raise substantial funds for worth causes of all kinds.

The year 2005 saw Hilda venture as a solo performer. She entered into an exclusive recording agreement with Hacienda Records and has been busy in the studio writing songs and working on her debut album. In May 2006, Hilda and her band performed on South Texas longest running TV show Domingo-Live, and had the honor of opening for Latin Grammy Winner Little Joe y La Familia. Closing 2006 in true Hilda fashion, Hilda was nominated for her very first award for “Best New Female Tejano Artist”.

2007 has been exciting with Hilda booked as the opening act for the world premiere of “Flower Power”, and her 2nd award nomination, this time for “Rising Female Star” at the 2007 Tejano Music Industry Awards. Making her second appearance on “Domingo Live” in March. Kicking off 2008 with her first 1 on the Mindviz Latin Charts with “Touch Me”, her collaboration with “The Bigg Freeze”.

Her debut CD is scheduled for release late 2008, teaming up with producer Rick Garcia (Lisa Lopez and Freddie Fender), Mike Gregory (Sam Neely and Lisa Lopez), and up and coming artist “The Bigg Freeze”, this will be the mark the latin industry has been waiting for.
