Heidi Jones is the weekend evening meteorologist for WABC-Channel 7's Eyewitness News in New York City. Jones came to the station in November 2005 from KTRK in Houston where she was the weekday 4 PM meteorologist. She also worked at KULR in Montana and lived in Norway. In addition to being a weathercaster, Jones is also the only member of the station that is an experienced marathon runner. Heidi went to college at Ball State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and a minor in Spanish. She then received her Broadcast Meteorology certification from Mississippi State University. Heidi is a marathoner, having completed the Washington, D.C., Boston, New York City, and Houston marathons. In addition, she ran the Empire State run-up in 2007. |
