Heather Lutze

Heather Lutze (Silver Spring, Maryland) is an American author, speaker and consultant on online marketing, SEO and findability strategies intended for business growth. In 2001, Heather founded WebArts, which was sold to TEK Consulting Inc. in 2005. She joined training Fortune 500 companies on advanced paid search (PPC) techniques for three years. In 2007, Heather founded Findability Group, a multi million dollar Denver-based SEM company which was acquired by Volume Nine Inc. in 2012. She now runs Findability Consulting and Speaking presenting internet marketing strategies and trainings to business owners. In 2001, Lutze and her company were featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show. She is known to be the creator of the term findability.
Early life and education
Heather was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. Shre graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1988. From 1988 to 1992, she attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 1994.
Lutze is married Mark Lutze, and they have two children. They currently live in Denver, Colorado.
Awards and honors
In 2009 and 2010, she spoke at the Web 2.0 Summit and Search Engine Strategies' events in San Francisco, respectively. She also spoke at the Tony Robbins Business Mastery Seven International Event 2011/2012.
In 2013, she was named Top 40 Digital Thought Leader by the Online Marketing Institute. She was also recognized by Vistage International for her 75 speeches as a resource speaker. Colorado Woman's Chamber of Commerce honored her for her contributions to the Chamber as a speaker and educator.
Currently, she is a member of National Speakers Association.

Heather has written two books: "The Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical Approach to Search Engine Marketing" and "Thumbonomics: The Essential Business Roadmap to Social Media & Mobile Marketing"
