Heath Totten

Heath Edward Totten (born September 30, 1978 in Port Arthur, Texas) is a former right-handed pitcher in Minor League Baseball.
Totten attended Lamar University, where he was a Southland Conference all-star in . He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 5th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft and assigned to the Yakima Bears. He started 13 games for the Bears during the 2000 season, finishing with an 8-2 record and 2.30 ERA and earning Low-A All-Star honors.
He spent most of the and seasons with the Single-A Vero Beach Dodgers in the Florida State League before being promoted to the Double-A Jacksonville Suns in late 2002. In , with the Suns, he went 11-12 with a 3.42 ERA while making a career high 28 starts. He also set a Southern League record by pitching 39.1 consecutive innings without issuing a walk.
Totten pitched for the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s in and , but after accumulating a 7.12 ERA in 2005 he went back to Jacksonville for . With the Suns, he was 8-5 with a 3.29 ERA in 21 starts, including one complete game shutout and was named to the Southern League Mid-season All-Star Team.
He signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as a minor league free agent in and pitched for the Double-A Reading Phillies and Triple-A Ottawa Lynx.
He began with the Rochester Red Wings in the Minnesota Twins organization, but he was released and briefly played with the independent York Revolution before re-signing with the Dodgers and being assigned back to Las Vegas.
