Miguel J. Pinango (born January 20, 1983, in Santa Lucia, Venezuela) is a retired right-handed pitcher in Minor League Baseball. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Mets as a 16-year old on July 17, , and started his professional career by playing in the Venezuelan Summer League for the Mets. Because he was so young when he signed, he spent six years in the low minors with the Mets, playing for Kingsport, Brooklyn, Capital City and St. Lucie. His best statistical year was in with Capital City, where he went 13-6, with a 3.47 ERA in 23 starts with 3 complete games and 106 strikeouts with only 24 walks. In , he was promoted to the Binghamton Mets where he pitched a no-hitter against Portland on July 23, 2006. He signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a minor league free agent prior to the season and, after a brief stop with the Inland Empire 66ers he was promoted to the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s. He is known as a hard worker with an excellent changeup. He went 10-7 with a 4.12 ERA for Las Vegas in 2007 in 23 starts and 5-9 with a 5.16 ERA in 24 starts in 2008. In 2009, he began the season in the starting rotation of the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes, where he accumulated a 2-5 record and 7.55 ERA in 11 games. He was released on June 23 and signed with Leones de Yucatán.
