Heath high school soccer

The Heath High School soccer program is the program of soccer at Heath High School that resides out in far western Kentucky. The program has been to the KHSAA Elite 8 four times(in a row) and has won regionals and districts numerous times. The club was ranked #147 in the nation in 2008 and #8 in the state of Kentucky. The program is thought of as an underdog achievement team seeing is that they do not come from a larger city and are in turn not a large school(school has a population of about 520 or so making it a 1A school). But in 2005 they surprised everyone by making it all the way to Sectionals to face Bowling Green High School and losing to them 3-1.Then they stunned everyone again then the next year by making it once again to the Sectionals only to be beat out once again. They did this two other times and the last time they had the most controversial match in all of KentuckySoccer's history. The team is made up of over 20 players and has a JV and Varsity team.

Henderson County Match
During last years season(2008-2009) whilst playing a soccer game in the Sectional which is the match before going to the Final Four in state Henderson County and Heath were tied 1-1.The game was intense like any other game only with the fact that the referee was calling blatant calls for the Henderson side. This created a temporary rivalry between not only the players but the fans.People were getting kicked out, some almost arrested.Well during the 66th minute or so of the match number 7 Brock Jordan(Junior then Senior now) had the ball, well he and an opponent from Henderson County were roughing for it.When all of a sudden the Henderson County kid punches Jordan in the face, which is an automatic red card which means your out for that game and the next. But while the fans waited for the card to be shown, what the Heath fans thought the time was coming to see a Henderson County players get sent off and then Henderson County would be a man down for the rest of the game, the referee turn around and gives the red card to Jordan. This cause eruption from Heath fans cause even gthe kid who did the punching knew he was getting a red card.Heath witnesses state that they heard the Henderson County coach say to that player "Hurt him" which was directed to Brock Jordan.Said to be the most controversial match ever played in Kentucky
