HealthySYNC

HealthySYNC was a brand of multi-brand beverage vending machines conceived for Drexel Hill Middle School in June 2001, located next to the Coca-Cola machines in both the cafeteria and the gym sections of the school (a third machine was added in the art wing of the school since HealthySYNC's introduction). Students can purchase a soda via the HealthySYNC machines using money or a HealthySYNC-issued pass. HealthySYNC machines were removed along with the passes beginning of the 2003-2004 school year.
History
HealthySYNC machines were installed in Drexel Hill Middle School on June 14, 2001, the end of the 2000-2001 school year. That same day, HealthySYNC added a issued pass, (which the pass itself, is actually paper with readable RFID ink strips) at the bottom of the pass. In the 2002-2003 school year, more than 3,000 HealthySYNC passes were made. Former principal Jonanthan Ross said, "HealthySYNC passes can not only be used for the machines, it can also be used for field trips or any special events of the first marking period". HealthySYNC was unsuccessful in June 2003 and they removed the machines but kept the 4 Coca-Cola machines intact.
