HealthDay

HealthDay is a division of ScoutNews, LLC and specializes in producing and licensing daily health news and video for consumers and medical professionals.
History
Founded as a private company in 2001, HealthDay debuted its Consumer Health News Service providing 15+ disease management and wellness articles a day. Each news article is written in an evidence-based fashion using sources and interviews from medical journals, medical conferences, medical specialists in specific fields, special reports from government institutions and health care providers. In 2002, HealthDay introduced its consumer news in Spanish and Japanese. In 2004, HealthDay created a Custom Content division that provides specialized content for companies that need a freelance writing or video department. In 2005, HealthDay introduced its Physician's Briefing news service. This physician-and nurse-focused news service provides a minimum of 15 articles a day across 32 different medical specialties. Physician's Briefing broadened in 2013 to include articles with AMA PRA Category 1 credits. In 2009, HealthDay launched HealthDay TV, a 60-second evidence-based daily news broadcast featuring important medical and health topics. Most recently, the company expanded their video services, specifically, HealthDay Televisión en Español and HealthDay Living.
