Head Space

Head Space is an online contest that was launched by Mount Saint Vincent University on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. The contest was created for the Mount to encourage others to embrace independent thinking in an educational and interactive way. It gives people the chance to share their thoughts with others. Once individuals enter the Head Space website they can submit an original thought or quote, or browse the thoughts of other contributors and vote for their favourites. The Mount’s Head Space contest is unique in that participants are the judges and they determine which thought wins. Mount Saint Vincent University awards weekly prizes to the top ranked quote, and a grand prize of $750 to the quote that stays in the #1 spot throughout the entire contest. Although the contest is mainly intended for high school students, Mount Saint Vincent University allows anyone to participate. The Head Space contest closes Wednesday, January 2, 2009 and the grand prize winner is notified soon after this date.
