Harvesting chives

Harvesting chives (), spelled 'ge jiucai' in Hanyu Pinyin, alternatively translated as cutting leeks, is a Chinese Internet buzzword that originally refers to chives having reached their peak growth stage and ready to be harvested.
The word "chive" originally came from the Chinese stock market. The chive is a very tough plant, and even if a farmer cuts off the leaves with a knife, they will grow back soon afterwards.
