Harald Seiz

Harald Konstantin Seiz, Dr. h. c. (born 1963 in Calw, Baden-Württemberg) is a German entrepreneur, public speaker and author. He has to date published five works dealing with finance.
Viewpoint
In parallel with his entrepreneurial involvement with cryptocurrencies, Seiz is an advocate of the sustainability of gold as legal tender. In 2016, he commissioned a study carried out by the Berlin Institute of Finance, Innovation and Digitalization (BIFID), in which the authors concluded that in the event of a crisis of confidence in legal tender or an IT blackout, gold could become an adequate and.universally recognized means of payment (original German quote: "ein adäquates und allseits anerkanntes Zahlungsmittel").
Honorary title
On 20 October 2015, Seiz was awarded an Honorary Senatorial Degree by The Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (Bundesverband für Wirtschaftsforderung und Außenwirtschaft, abbr: BWA). The honour was bestowed not long after a delegation led by German politicians Lothar de Maizière and Joschka Fischer travelled to the southern Chinese province of Guangdong. Here, Seiz's company was presented to the relevant bodies as a prospective business model.
Publications
To date, all works by Harald Seiz (five titles published in German, with two of these also available in English-language editions) have been published by the FinanzBuch Verlag, which is part of the Münchner Verlagsgruppe (Munich Publishing Group). With the three latter works, the title "Dr. h. c." precedes the author's name; this reflects the honorary title bestowed on him (see above section).
