About
Happy Hollow Boulevard is one of the boulevards that Horace Cleveland, who designed the boulevards of Omaha, has been mostly unchanged.
Happy Hollow Boulevard is also one of the only streets to have a major region namd after it, the Dundee-Happy Hollow Historic District. It is mostly a residential neighborhood throughout its entire route. It connects to both Memorial and Elmwood Parks, throughout its route, and even connects to a road leading to the inside of Elmwood Park, making it a giant link in Omaha.
Route
Happy Hollow Boulevard starts at an intersection with the NW Radial Highway, although it is only southbound. It starts a north and southbound course at Decatur Street. It goes mostly west with a small southern slant until it hits an intersection with Saddle Creek Road, 50th Street, Country Club Avenue, and Seward Street. Then it takes a more southward course.
Just south of Nicholas Street, Happy Hollow Boulevard splits into two roadways, one with only a westbound lane and one with an eastbound and westbound lane. At Izard Street, the only westbound roadway adopts an eastbound way. This roadway of Happy Hollow Boulevard terminates at Underwood Avenue.
The other roadway keeps it steady course, and at Underwood Avenue, is near the heart of Dundee. Happy Hollow Boulevard keeps southwest, going just east of Memorial Park. At the intersection with Dodge Street, you must take Farnam Street to take Dodge Street west.
Happy Hollow Boulevard goes south of Dodge Street. At Harney Street, Happy Hollow Boulevard becomes part of the Elmwood Park-Aksarben Neighborhood. South of Howard Street, it turn southeast and attaches to Elmwood Park Drive, putting a way into Elmwood Park. It goes south and terminates at the intersection with South 57th and Leavenworth Streets.
