Happy Happy Village

is a fictional village that appears in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game EarthBound.
Summary
While the village is small compared to nearby Twoson, Happy Happy Village has a distinctive church-like building in the center. That building has served as the headquarters for Mr. Carpainter's cult, known as Happy Happyism.<ref name="nintendo"/>
The village resides in a small portion of Peaceful Rest Valley and is the home of Mr. Carpainter's cult (which is dedicated to painting everything blue).<ref name="wikia"/> People who did not pay attention to the color blue were exterminated during the reign of Carpainter as its de facto leader; as they believe that that the color was a path to God.<ref name="nintendo"/> Mr. Carpainter was merely given orders by the Evil Mani Mani Statue; even he had no true belief in the cult.<ref name="nintendo"/>
The Evil Mani Mani statue was housed here after being shipped from Onett.<ref name="wikia"/> It was forwarded to Master Belch's place after the cult was disbanded. A cave is located in the vicinity of Happy Happy Village.<ref name="nintendo"/>
