Hajj Visa

Hajj is a religious obligation performed by the Muslims from all over the world. It is one of the five pillar of Islam. Pilgrims travel to Makkah and Madinah situated at Saudi Arabia to perform hajj. In order to enter Saudi Arabia a Hajj visa is required to by the pilgrims and the policy or requirements for that are mentioned below.

Time to Apply for Hajj Visa
Hajj visas are issued from the Mid -Shawwal until 25 Dhual-Qa’dah in every year.
Payment for the Hajj Visa
No payment is required to be submitted by the applicant as the visas are free of cost.
Whereas the charges for the transport, tent accommodation in Mina and Arafat, Zamzam water agents and the guides charges are included and you can know about them by contacting the Saudi Consulate.
Hajj Visa Requirement
* The applicant should have a valid passport up to six month remaining and two blank visa pages adjacent to each other in case to entry other country after Saudi Arabia.
* Each applicant should submit one passport size photograph with a white background. The picture should be full face view. (Some travel agents demand two photograph for visa application and group identification card respectively).
* A dully filled form should be submitted filled with the Black ink and stamped by the authorized travel agency.
* The Mahram should provide complete information of his wife or children along with the birth and marriage certificate respectively.
NOTE: Women should travel with Mahram and in case of travelling with the group having age 45 or above she should submits a No Objection Certificate along with the application.
* The applicant should possess a nonrefundable and confirmed tickets.
* The applicant should submit the proof of the vaccination for meningitis and ACYW135. For children upto 15 a certificate for polio as well as for Meningitis is required. The certificate for children over 15 year is same like the adults. The certificate should not be issued more than 3 years and not less than 10 days prior to arrival in Saudi Arabia.
* Each Pilgrim should provide two certified check for the facilities that are tent accommodation in Mina and Arafat, Zam zam water agent and transportation cost to the “Unified Travel Agent “. The option for 2 payments in one check can be used. Children from age 7 to 15 need to pay half price and children under seven don’t need to pay. Correct charges can be known by contacting Saudi consulate.
NOTE: Applicants that are nonresident of the country they are applying from should submit permanent residence document.
If applicant is a converted Muslim a certificate should be provided by the Islamic Center.
NOTE: Passport authorities have right to return any of the Pilgrims on providing wrong Information regarding their residence.
Children age for the Hajj visa
Children can perform hajj with their parents, their photographs along with the birth certificate should be attached with the application and on parent passport. Children and women under 45 should come with Mahram (A male relative)
NOTE: Applicant under 18 will not be provided with the Hajj visa unless accompanied with the family.
Hajj Visa Requirement for UK
The requirements to get a hajj visa for UK residents are mentioned below:
* Fully filled application form
* 2 recent passport size photograph
* Passport validity up to 6 months
* Proper travel agent should be contacted the details of authorized travel agent is available on www.saudiembassy.org.uk.
* A meningitis vaccination certificate should be provided and it should not be older than 10 days prior to entering in Saudi Arabia.
* Children travelling on parent’s passport their photograph on the passport and on visa application form should be attached and approved by the concerned authorities.
* Females should be accompanied by the Mahram. The Mahram can be Husband, Father, Elder son, Nephew and Uncle and age should be at least 17 year old.
* For Non UK resident’s proof of permanent residence permit should be given.
IMPORTANT NOTES
* The time for submitting passport is 9 am to 12 noon from Monday to Thursday.
* For the collection of passport timing will be 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Friday the timing will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
* The date for acceptance of hajj visa is 15t of Shawwal and last date for acceptance of application is 25 Dhu’l-Qada in accordance to Hejirah Calendar.
* The validity starts from the date of issue.
* The application should be in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTER and filled with black ink.
* Hajj visa is given free of cost.

CAUTION
The pilgrims are not allowed to take any picture, written material with them for political purpose and they should respect the law and regulation of Saudi Arabia.
