Haji Daraz Khan

Haji Daraz Khan is prominent Pakistani citizen living in United Arab Emirates. He has been instrumental social worker and philanthropist who has convinced numerous Pakistan Airlines to transport dead bodies of Pakistan labors and residents in United Arab Emirates free of cost.

Khan is also a chairman of a private charity foundation to provide the deceased's family with monetary support, most of whom rely on the deceased as their breadwinner. The foundation is based on small donations from the members of the foundation. The amount of charity funds collected for the deceased's family ranges from DHS100,000 to DHS150,000 which roughly translates to around 30 to 40 Lakh Pakistani Rupees. Proper arrangements are placed to ensure that the funds are not misused by the relatives of the deceased's family and a part of the fund amount is banked in for the children's education if any.
Khan along with social and philanthropist work is a key player in the Pakistan Embassy in United Arab Emirates and helps the poor and unguided to complete the legal documents and reside in UAE legally. He is also a strong supporter of remittance through legal channels to Pakistan. He believes that such transference of hard earned money would improves Pakistan's economy.
Awards and recognition
Haji Daraz Khan was honored with a Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Award (Medal of Excellence) by the President of Pakistan in 2016 for his social and philanthropist work for the Pakistan Community residing in United Arab Emirates. He dedicated his award to all the Pakistan workers in UAE.
