Gujjuweb is a social networking website for Gujarati indians, serving as a community portal for 50 Million Gujaratis worldwide. The project was founded and managed by Roshan Shah with the assistance of other Gujarati professionals around the world.
History Gujjuweb originally started in 1998 when a Roshan Shah a software professional then working for IBM Global Services, USA presented his initial idea and version on the Internet. The goal with to unite the worldwide Gujarati Community and let the community members help each other for Business, Pleasure as well as collectively work to promote a new young political front in Gujarat.
Supporters joined from various locations around the world building the free community and establishing methods to promote participation. Supporters joined based on the premise of bringing a vibrant Gujarati community together and volunteered their expertise.

During the initial months, Gujjuweb garnered hundreds of subcribers and community members. Ultimately the community did not develop large enough to continue, however a steady user base has allowed the community to remain online.
Through the use of Drupal CMS, an Open Source CMS framework, the community was relaunched providing access to News, Community Groups and Discussions. Thus bringing news of Gujarat State in India to the worldwide community.
