Grisi group

Grisi Group, is a Mexican consumer goods company headquartered in Mexico. Founded by Don Jose Grisi, an Italian doctor who moved to Mexico in 1860. Its products include personal care and cosmetics products.
History
In 1863 he mixed several chemicals and came up with Grisi’s first medicine [http://www.grisi.com/index.php?optioncom_content&viewarticle&id107&Itemid154 Emplasto Monopolis®] which was a healing cream, giving birth to the company’s first lab located in Medina’s street, Mexico.
In 1890 don Blas Grisi, son of Jose Grisi, founded the drugstore “El Factor” which then turned into “Grisi® Drugstore” in 1912.
When the business started growing and the customer’s needs changed, Grisi® launched a new product line dedicated to transforming natural products into beauty ones.
This is how in 1950, Grisi® came up with a chamomile shampoo and a whole cosmetics line; along with this, the soap exportations to USA and Central America started.
In 1993, Grisi® gets international, signing a representation agreement with Helene Curtis.

In 1998 a License Agreement was made with Procter & Gamble to launch a cosmetics division.
This starts with the product lines: Max Factor, Cover Girl and Oil from Olay. It also starts the exportation to Europe, Central and South America.

Nowadays it has turn into an international brand due to the acquisition of the transnational Spanish company Puig.
This made Grisi have a wider coverage regarding healthcare and beauty, with an expansion of 8 more product lines.
Their products include Ricitos de Oro, Healing cream for stretch marks, Firming Gel, Grisi Kids, Organogal, Maja, Sulfur Soap and the Dentist and Veterinary line.
Its star product is their soap which was the first dermatological brand
created especially for younger skin to fight against pimples (acne) with sulfur as the main active ingredient.
All Grisi product lines can be found in the leading supermarket chains such as CVS, Walmart and Walgreens.
