Gregory Margovsky

Gregory Margovsky was born in 1963 in Minsk.
He graduated from Maxim Gorky Literature Institute.
His works were published in a number of newspapers and magazines.
He worked as the journalist, the editor, translated the Polish,
Bulgarian, Latvian poetry, and taught literature at schools.

In 1993 he repatriated to Israel.
He was the security guard, the phone operator, the archivist,
worked in the Tel Aviv Municipal Library.
There he had published two collections of verses:
"The Moth of Ashes" (1997, Euterpe, Tel-Aviv),
"The Draft of Centuries" (1998, Euterpe, Tel-Aviv).
In 2008 there was published his first poetical book in Russia:
"Game of Games" (2008, Tranzit-X, Moscow-Vladimir).
He became a member of the Israel Federation of Writers' Union,
had been accepted to the postgraduate Slavic Philology program
of the Jerusalem University.
He has authored two novels: "The Creation from a loose" (1994),
"The Gardener of Dooms" (2000) and a number of an essay
on medieval history and the Russian literature of 20th century.
Lives in the USA since the year 2001.
His verses were translated to English.
