Greenwich Printmakers

The Greenwich Printmakers Association, based in Greenwich, London, England, was founded in 1979. It is the oldest contemporary independent artist/printmakers group in the UK with the primary aim of providing a permanent display of members' work in their own gallery. It is run as a co-operative, staffed and administered by the artists themselves.

Exhibitions
There are five exhibitions of new work each year, in addition to several other locations which have been as far afield as Canada, Germany and the USA. Many of the artists participate in the annual Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions and the National Printmaking Shows ("Originals" at the Malls Galleries, London) as well as national and international competitions and events. The members represent many forms of printmaking, including etching - including aquatint and drypoint, relief printmaking - linocut, woodcut, and wood engraving, screen printing, collograph and monoprint.
