Green No More

'Green No More' is a two-part episode in the second series of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers directed by John Stewart. Part 1 originally aired on September 27, 1994 and part 2 aired the following day. This episode was the last to include Tommy Oliver as the Green Mighty Morphin Power Ranger. The Green Ranger would appear again as a clone in the episode "Return of the Green Ranger".
Story
The episode begins with Tommy talking to Kimberly about the chances of having his powers recharged, which he is not feeling confident about. Just then they receive a mysterious transmission from Tommy in the future which says "remember communicator".
At the command center Tommy is informed that the last attempt to restore his powers failed, and he has enough energy left for only one fight. He is also informed that the transmission he received earlier came from when he was engaged in battle, but he was not wearing his Green Ranger costume.
Meanwhile, Lord Zedd is using a Green Crystal to absorb the last of the Green Ranger powers to use for his own means.
Five bullies start at Angel Grove High and originally do not get along with the Rangers. Lord Zedd personally chooses them to become his Dark Rangers whose powers are to be fueled by the Green ranger's powers which are contained within the Crystal. The bullies are captured and taken to another dimension named the 'Otherworld', then Zedd simultaneously releases a monster named Turbanshell on Angel Grove.
At the Command Center, Tommy tells his teammates he has one fight left. They then learn of Turbanshell and are told its power is dangerously high. Because of this, Tommy insists on joining the other Rangers in battle, even after being advised to conserve the remains of his powers. All six Power Rangers morph into battle and the Thunder Megazord and Dragonzord are summoned to fight Turbanshell. The Rangers are defeated after being thrown out of their Zord and Green Ranger is severely weakened. Green Ranger is then Transported to the Otherworld where he engages in a brief battle with Turbanshell before having the last ounces of his power absorbed by it. He is demorphed and left to fight the monster powerless. The remnants of the Green Ranger powers are then sent to the Green Crystal and Zedd is able to transport the remaining Rangers to the Otherworld and envelope the command center in a force field which will compress and cause it to implode.
Tommy is left in hiding from Turbanshell due to not being able to compete with its strength without his powers. After being told to come out of hiding several times he finally shows up and knocks Turbanshell off its feet. It quickly gets even and the powerless Tommy is outmatched in the fight.
The other five Rangers are sent back to Earth without their morphers and left to helplessly watch the destruction of their city.
Goldar arrives in the Otherworld to take over for Turbanshell in fighting Tommy so he can get even for numerous defeats in the past. Turbanshell is sent down to Angel Grove to cause destruction. Goldar plans to smash down Tommy's confidence by showing him images of when he was the Green Ranger to make him witness what Goldar calls the greatness he once was, because now it's all over. Goldar demands that Tommy say Goldar is his superior before he is disposed of. Tommy, appearing to have given up, rises and says to Goldar "You are out of your mind!" The two fight with Tommy gaining the upper hand without having to morph! He tells Goldar that the images he had just been shown made him realize how much good he has done, not as the Green Ranger, but as "Plain old Tommy". Tommy wins against Goldar in an ensuing fight and receives a device which he can use to contact himself in the past, hence the transmission at the beginning of the episode. At that point a hologram of Tommy appears and hands over the Green Ranger communicator which Tommy is able to use to teleport to Billy's lab. There at that time Billy has succeeded in penetrating the force field surrounding the Command Center in order to communicate with Zordon and Alpha. The Rangers learn that a non-power ranger must enter the Otherworld and destroy the Green Crystal since a Power Ranger would be detected. Tommy is the only one there who is no longer a Ranger, so he is sent back to the Otherworld. There he is able to sneak up behind Zedd and Goldar and grab the Crystal. Zedd notices Tommy in surprise. Tommy then proceeds to tell Zedd he should know not to mess with the Power Rangers, and shatters the Green Crystal to many pieces, destroying the Green Ranger powers permanently. By sacrificing his powers he succeeds in retrieving the other Rangers' morphers, removing the force field around the Command Center and rescuing the Bullies (who were to be the Dark Rangers) from the Clutches of Lord Zedd.
Tommy returns to Billy's lab. By touching the Crystal he has been given an energy boost which allows him to morph into the Green Ranger one last time. All six Rangers morph into action and fight Turbanshell. This time they emerge victorious. Zedd's plans have been foiled again.
Once these events are over the rangers learn that the bullies remember nothing about what happened. Here, Jason buys them drinks and they all agree to start over again and try to be friends.
Back at the Command Center, Tommy expresses his realization that it is not the Green Ranger powers that give him strength, but it is the person he is inside. He tells the other five that he will greatly miss being part of them and he will always hold them close to his heart. He says "One last time" to a Power Rangers high five. Little do they all know that Tommy will soon be back as the White Power Ranger...
