After co-writing a pair of songs for The Scorpions, she founded the band Dremana and has modeled for Playboy magazine. Biography Sharington was born on November 21, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, and was adopted as the youngest child of Dorothy and Allan Gilbertson, the owners of a family home-improvement business. She competed in the 1991 Miss Iowa pageant under the name of Ami Linn Gilbertson and placed as 1st runner-up. She soon withdrew from Mt. Mercy College and moved to Chicago to focus on her modeling career, signing with Elite Model Management. During this time, she met Rieckermann Ralph Riecermann, the bass player of The Scorpions. This songwriting experience eventually brought her back to Chicago, where she worked as a songwriter and recording artist for Dead Dog Records, Tanglewood Studios, and ID Productions. In 1997, she and then-boyfriend Andre "Spam" Klizentis formed the band Dremana. They recorded their self-titled debut CD and the line-up of the band became: Ziggy (drums), J.P. (bass), Karl Geckler (guitar), Jamie Principle (programming), Spam (guitar), and Sharington (vocals). Eventually drummer Ziggy was replaced by Greg York and bass player J.P. by Jason Habbley. Dremana's songs "Mandarin Martini" and "The Way I Want You" reached the #6 and #20 positions on XM Radio's most played unsigned bands.
