Gordon J Lovie hails from Aberdeenshire in the N.E of Scotland. He is a formidable songwriter of predominantly "Contemporary Christian" songs. He is an adherent member of the Salvation Army. Gordon was born on November 3 1964 in Oban, Scotland, has strong family connections with Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, although brought up in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen. He attended and is a former pupil of Aberdeen Grammar School. His most notable compositions stem from the Album "Witness" which is his life in testimoy, and include "Tear Down These Walls", "Please Redeem my Soul", "The Son of Man" etc. His first Christmas single release was "He is Born (A Shepherd's Witness)" which was released in 1997. |
