Good Story Productions is an American entertainment company known for producing independent films, nonfiction television and online projects. Good Story Productions was established by award-winning producers Burt Kearns and Alison Holloway. The company is based in Los Angeles, with bureaus in Las Vegas, New York and London. Productions Good Story produced the independent nonfiction film comedy, High There which premiered August 25, 2014 as an official selection of the Action on Film International Film Festival in Monrovia, California, won the Viewers' Choice Award at first annual Cannabis Film Festival in Humboldt County, California (on May 3, 2015), and was released on limited edition DVD and On Demand by BRINKvision on June 23, 2015. Good Story Productions produced the High There DVD extra, High Times & Low Expectations, and created and produced the online launch campaign for the photography exhibit that opened in December 2014 at the Iconic Images Gallery at the SLS Las Vegas. Good Story is also behind the nonfiction feature film, El Viaje Musical de Ezekiel Montanez: The Chris Montez Story, which was previewed as a work-in-progress on August 15, 2009 at the 35th annual The Fest For Beatles Fans in Chicago, November 21, 2009 at the Paso Robles Digital Film Festival and May 14, 2010 at the Pacific Palisades Film Festival. As of August 2015, Good Story Productions was in pre-production on a sequel to a High There sequel entitled Area 420 and developing several reality television series. History Good Story Productions was established in 1999. Its first production was the award-winning documentary, Hollywood Animal Crusaders for Animal Planet. The look at the animal rescue and investigative group Last Chance for Animals and its founder Chris DeRose featured appearances by John Travolta, Cher, Bret Michaels, Don Johnson, Esai Morales, Alexandra Paul, Rikki Rockett, John Paul DeJoria and Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis. Kearns co-founded the production company Frozen Pictures in 2000, and while he did most of his original work with that company until its dissolution in 2012, Good Story Productions provided technical and production services to Frozen productions as well as networks including Fox, Court TV, Bravo and Showtime.
