Globe 199 is an attack that would instantly kill a protagonist player character in the acclaimed role-playing video game Final Fantasy IV (known as Final Fantasy 2 in Japan). The attack is casted by the Boss Battle XVIII - CPU. If you kill off both of the boss' subordinate nodes known as The Attacker and The Defender The CPU uses an attack called Globe 199, instantly wiping out one of your party members. If your player(s) character is subjected to the attack there is no way of avoiding an instant death as it administers an outstanding points damage of 9999. Spoiler Therefore the strategy to defeat the boss CPU efficiently is to avoid Globe 199, this is done by attacking The Defender (inorder to destroy the CPU's ability to regenerate) while attacking the CPU with other accessible characters in your team.
