Gino Santoro

Gino Santoro(1920-1980), maybe some of you (a mean a lot) don't know this emblematic character in Sicilian Mafia history. Born in Palermo, the son of Federico Santoro and Giovannina Lanteri. You don't know of this character because it's not mentioned in the Mafia history. This person worked secretly, it had no side, he searched for the weak spots and took advantage. His moves were silent and deadly, the perfect killer.

He did jobs for different gangs, the Bonnano, the Luciano, the Gambino, the Luchese and more. Although he never belonged to any. His best friend was Maximiliano Stratto, a well known mob boss in Palermo. He did a big variety of jobs for him and with him. From robbing banks, mugging civilians to killing gang bosses, policemen, judges, burning stores, bombing places (residences, palaces, etc.) He was one of the main causes of the Mafia birth.

He also did some journeys to America, most of the times New York, where he met Fabio Galliani, a black merchant, who provided some recent weapons (the magnum, barrel shotgun, chicgago typewrter, etc.)He did some favors for him in exchange of a mansion in Palm Springs. He did lots of small deals, had small businesses, for laying low. Finally, in October 28th he ot shot when he was getting out of the car heading towards his house. Policemen investigated and found the killer dead on the road. This was the story of Gino Santoro.
