Gilles and Guy Leclerc

Gilles M. Leclerc and Guy J. Leclerc (September, 1962) are identical twins that co-authored several scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals relative to molecular genetics, endocrinology, microbiology and oncology. Both hold a Ph.D. degree in microbiology and immunology from the University of Montreal (1991).
In 1992, they moved to Columbia, SC (United States) to start their scientific careers.
In 1998, they married identical twins Joëlle and Florence Banani in Lablachère (France). They were the first twin couples to meet through the Internet and get married.
Gilles and Guy Leclerc are currently assistant professors in the Department of Pediatrics Hematology-Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
