Gil Dezer (born March 1, 1975) is a developer best known for his work in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida with Dezer Properties. Life and Career Dezer is the son of Israeli immigrant parents. He graduated in 1997 from the University of Miami with a dual degree in International Finance and Marketing. Dezer is president of Dezer Properties, a New York and Miami-based real estate company founded in 1970 by his father, Michael Dezer. The company got its start converting factory buildings located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan into luxury office cooperatives. Dezer Properties' current New York portfolio consists of over 1.3 million square feet of space. In 1985, Dezer Properties expanded to South Florida and is now one of the largest oceanfront property owners in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, owning over 27 acres of prime oceanfront property, and a portfolio consisting of two collaborations with the Trump Organization, the Trump Grande Ocean Resort and Residences and the Trump Towers. Dezer is considered one of the youngest developers of luxury high-rise residential and condo-hotel developments in the United States. Porsche Design Tower Dezer Properties partnered with Germany-based Porsche Design to develop a 57-story, 132-unit condo building Porsche Design Tower, in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The proposed tower would consist of units of up to 4,000 square feet, with a pool on each balcony and an elevator that would transport the owner's car directly next to their unit. The elevator technology automatically identifies the car and the unit owner once they have entered and dependent on what floor a resident lives on, takes from 45 seconds to a minute and 15 seconds to transport. Prices for the units range from $2.7 million to $19 million and will feature a minimum of two parking spaces and as many as four. Past and Present Positions Dezer is the Past President and Chairman Emeritus of the Developers & Builders Alliance (DBA); one of the Founders of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation; Young President of the Miami Heart Institute; member of the Florida Friends of Israeli Defense Forces (FFIDF); member of Project Cradle in Miami; and member of the One Family Fund Organization.
