Gerard Christian Zacher is the star of upcoming films such as "The Reinactors" by David Markey / We Got Power Films, "Fanpire" by Catchphrase Entertainment, & "Ambassadors of Hollywood" by Archie Gips - all due out 2008. He made a cameo in the Dennis Woodruff film, "Spaceman" as Hollywood Freddy. He has also made a handful of appearances on "". In addition, Gerard was the subject of an inspirational article written by Steve Lopez for the Los Angeles Times on November 7th, 2007 and by Simon Braund for Empire Magazine's January, 2008 issue.
Gerard is an up-&-coming actor in Hollywood. He is originally from Chicago, IL where he started putting on shows as "producer", "director", & "actor" in his backyard at the age of 5. He spent the rest of his years in his hometown in both stage & musical theater, student & project films, & as an extra & stand-in in a variety of films & TV shows filmed in the Chicago areas. A successful, but brief stint in the Army led him indirectly to Las Vegas where he put together his own theater troupe as well as landing a weekly comedy radio show. Again, he was producer, director, writer, & performer. Gerard also organized & performed in public & charity events. In addition, he was one of the publics favorite 4 characters in the Freakling Bros. widely successful Haunted House, "The Dungeon". He also enjoyed success as a free-lance artist/cartoonist. With all this going on simultaneously, he was often featured in local Las Vegas magazines & newspapers. However, as his Las Vegas careers began to peak, his father suffered a severe stroke & Gerard, loyal to his family & friends, gave it all up to spend the next year back in Chicago helping his father recover.
His father well, Gerard was free to once again resume his own life and moved to LA, where he had always wanted to settle. He worked for Disneyland, geared up to be the first walk-around Peter Pan in years until the park made the decision to not have a Pan at that time, after all. Instead, he entertained the Disney masses in other areas including The Jungle Cruise. He entertains Hollywood taking photos with tourists on the side for his own personal fun as various film character look-alikes. This led to his hosting haunted tours of LA as the characters. It has also led to the beginnings of his public career as a performer, including the four films mentioned above.
