Umer Sharif Kakar

Umer Sharif Kakar is a Pakistani television actor and director and producer. He was born in Muzaffargarh, Pakistan.
Career
After his graduation in 2007, Kakar joined WASEB TV Channel in Multan. There he worked as assistant to TV director Imtiaz Taj. After one year, Kakar became independent director and producer. He started different projects including "TV Masala", "Dum Hay Tay Aao", "Sawad", and "Nikhar". In October 2008, Kakar resigned from his job at WASEB TV to concentrate on his studies at Bahauddin Zakariya University. During this time he made different TV commercials.
Kakar completed his courses at the university in 2009 and joined ROHI TV in June 2009 as associate director. In October 2009 he was promoted to producer. At ROHI TV, he produces a comedy Program called "KHILSO". He also performs as an artist on different plays Like Gaman Sachar, Phuman Khan, and Khilso.
He has also worked on the short films "Twines Killer", "Child Labor", "Meethay Chawlon ki Akhri Plate", and "Abdul Ghani Jeakson". He made a documentary on polluted water in rural areas of South Punjab and internet cafes.
In addition, Kakar is writing a book named Kakar’s eye on TV Production for TV and film students.
