Gerald Blaine is a former United States Secret Service Agent who protected Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson before retiring from the agency to work for the IBM Corporation (later becoming Security Director, among other important assignments, including the Overseas Security Advisory Council at the US Department of State during the Gulf War), ARCO International Oil and Gas as the Director of International Security, Government Relations and Foreign Affairs in Dallas, Texas, and finally for Hill & Associates, an Asian-based consulting company, as a Senior Consultant He is the author (along with Lisa McCubbin, co-author) of "The Kennedy Detail", a major work published by Simon & Schuster in November 2010 . The book will also be the subject of a major 2 hour Discovery Channel documentary in November 2010 Blaine is known primarily for protecting President Kennedy during the ill-fated Texas trip of November 1963, as he is noted in several major books on the subject
