George Wallace Mcdonald

George Wallace McDonald (born 1955, Dumfries, Scotland) is a writer and entrepreneur.

Travel writing
McDonald developed a passion for travel while modelling in Italy early in his career. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe by using the InterRail pass inspired him to write Europe By Train, with co-author Katie Wood. Based on its reputation, he was commissioned to write the Collins/Fontana Holiday Guide Series, and two other travel books, The Winter Sun Guide and The Round the World Air Guide, again with Katie Wood.

Z-Card
Mcdonald is now an inventor, created the Z-Card, "a credit card-sized folded marketing product." Mcdonald's company, Z-Card Ltd., bought out print finishing business Z-Finishing, which now makes the card, rescuing them from bankruptcy and preserving 156 jobs.
