George Lawlor (25 December 1968) is an Irish Labour Party politician and print company director. Lawlor is currently a councillor on Wexford County Council. Political career Lawlor was elected to Wexford Borough Council in 2004, receiving 6.44% of first preference votes. He became Mayor of Wexford in June 2007 and held the office until June 2008. His grandfather, Eddie Hall, held the office during the 1950s. He was elected to Wexford County Council in the 2009 local elections. He was elected Mayor of Wexford in 2013 and 2014 and has also served as Deputy Mayor of Wexford. He was elected Mayor of Wexford in 2019. He was selected to run in the 2019 Dail by-election in the Wexford constituency. Personal life Lawlor attended Wexford CBS and Dublin Institute of Technology. He is married to his wife Yvonne and has three daughters.
