George Albert Harley de Vere-Drummond

George Albert Harley de Vere-Drummond is a minor British aristocrat, best know for being the biological father of director Matthew Vaughn. He was born at Windsor castle in 1943, the son of Capt George Drummond, a direct descendant of Andrew Drummond, the founder of Drummonds Bank. He is also the godson of the late King George VI
Early Life
Drummond was brought up on the Isle of man and the island of Barbados, where his father owned several houses. He had 7 sisters. Drummond attended Gordonstoun boarding school in Scotland, a few years above Prince Charles, with whom he was friends. He then attended Princeton to study liberal arts, but did not complete his course. Just two weeks before his 21st birthday his father died, leaving him a vast estate comprising of multiple houses, including swaylands, a residence which was known for its extravagant parties and royal visitors. After receiving such wealth Drummond became somewhat of an entrepreneur and turned down the offer of working for the bank like previous generations. His first venture was Radio Caroline in which he was a backer. He then proceeded to go into racing owning 11 cars in total including a Ferrari 250 GTO. A car he later gave to his close friend Anthony Bamford. His social circle included the photographer Patrick Lichfield, racing driver Paddy McNally and restaurateur Michael Pearson, son of Viscount Cowdray.
Personal Life
Drummonds first wife was the daughter of Jamaican Prime minister Michael Manley, Rachel Manley. Together they had one child, George Drummond, who was a professional surfer, being Jamaican national champion in 2002 and is now a lawyer. After their divorce Drummond began seeing Kathy Ceaton, an actress, and Robert Vaughns future wife. It was during this relationship Ceaton fell pregnant with Drummonds child, believing it however, to be be Vaughns, behind his father and older brother George, with Matthew being illegitimate.
Drummond currently resides in Barbados, but regulary visits England to visit family and friends.
