Geoffrey Lewis Tabachnick is an American-Canadian venture capitalist, investor and entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Bedrock Capital and a former Partner at Founders Fund. Early Life and education Lewis was born in Calgary, Canada to Sholem Tabachnick and Laurette Tabachnick, both of whom were teachers. Lewis graduated from in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree. Career In 2004, Lewis joined P&G after they offered to sponsor his green card. but left to co-found TopGuest a loyalty software company for travel companies that was acquired for in 2011. Lewis then joined Founders Fund as a Partner after being recruited by Peter Thiel. During his time at Founders Fund Lewis led investments in Lyft, Wish, Privateer Holdings, Nubank and RigUp. Lewis left Founders Fund in 2017 to found Bedrock Capital with Eric Stromberg. Bedrock currently has approximately $500 million in investment capital. Founders Fund is an investor in Bedrock. Investment Philosophy Lewis is widely known for his investments in companies considered "narrative violations" a term he coined in 2017. In a white paper published on Bedrock's website Lewis wrote "The best time to invest in a company is when it’s most in violation of a popular narrative". The blog post was in stark contrast to his then-boss vocal support of President Trump.
