Highland Capital Partners is a major USA based venture capital company founded in 1988. Funds Managed HCP manages several funds; currently active funds include are the "Highland Capital Partners VII" fund raised in 2006, containing $808 million, and the "Highland Consumer Fund I" raised in 2007 containing $300 million. HCP also manages "The Highland Entrepreneurs' Fund" which is claimed to includes investment (to an undisclosed amount) from "over 125 entrepreneurs, high-tech executives, key service professionals and other industry leaders". HCP states that this fund is used to invest alongside HCP's other funds with the aim of increasing accessing and influence for its investments. Invested in companies Highland has invested in 170 companies, 75 of which have so far either been acquired or reached publicly traded status. Investments include: Turbine, Inc.
