Genesis Village

Genesis Village is an independent senior living facility in Toledo, Ohio developed by renovating and updating a former 1990's state-of-the-art conference center.
The vision of Genesis Village began in the spring of 2007. After consulting with community leaders, it was decided to pursue a project to convert the former Holiday Inn and Conference Center into an independent senior retirement community. It was determined that the former conference center could offer amenities and services that could not be found in any other facility in the area. It was also demonstrated that there is a great need for affordable senior housing in the Toledo area for middle income seniors. A project team was put together to oversee this unique competitor in the marketplace. The $5 million rehab construction will be completed for an early 2011 grand opening. Genesis Village is collaborating with the University of Toledo Successful Aging program as well as other entities to better serve residents and area seniors.
Amenities
The retirement community has a pool, a whirlpool, a gift shop, internet access, a library, a media center and pastoral services.
