GD3 Data

GD3 Data, LLC (commonly known as GD3)., is an online media recognition database founded in 2004 by Doug Strachota and Brian Moore.
GD3 was originally created inside a company called Get Digital Data, based in Indianapolis, IN as a CD database to support an automated CD ripping software called Encode Center. In 2006, DVD and Blu-ray metadata was added to GD3, creating comprehensive metadata coverage for CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. In 2008, Get Digital Data changed the business name to GD3 Data, LLC. GD3 Data is privately owned and operated.
GD3 has compiled a very detailed and accurate database of both CD and DVD data by eliminating user-fed content and relying strictly on an editorial based entry system. GD3 is used by all RCA MP3 products (Audiovox), is one of the primary CD databases in Ripstation, dBpoweramp and MyMovies, and is used for DVD identification in movie server products by Elan, Imerge & Niveus.
