Gavin Lewis was born in Trinidad on 01/06/76. He is a retired professional footballer who was an international for Trinidad and Tobago. He started his career at Notts County where unfortunately the treatment table saw more of him than the fans at the County Ground. He then moved on to Chesterfield, Barnsley, East Fife, Birkirkara F.C. (Malta) after which he retired. He turned out a few times for Eastwood Town and Nottingham Sunday league team FC Durham before hanging up his boots. Gavin has since left his football playing days behind but is still involved in the beautiful game. Gavin is currently a Street Football Officer at Northampton Borough Council.<ref name="independent.co.uk"/> He now concentrates on his coaching rather than his playing. Throughout Gavins career the press back home (Trinidad) would always refer to Gavin as Garvin Lewis. Gavin lists his all time hero as Curtly Ambrose.
