Salisbury City
In February 2000, Scott, joined the team he supported as a youngster, Salisbury City. Despite an early relegation and the precarious financial situation of the club, he showed great loyalty to his local club by sticking with them.
When Nick Holmes took over as manager of the club, Scott Bartlett was one of the players he chose to build his team around. He helped his side to the FA Cup 1st Round in which they were drawn away against Sheffield Wednesday. They lost the tie but it showed signs of progress for the club under their current set up.
A couple of seasons later he helped the club win the Southern Premier League. In the following season he aided the teams FA Cup run in which they were drawn at home to Nottingham Forest in front of the TV cameras. They took the game to a replay at the City Ground which was also televised, but Forest came out on top. That same season Scott Bartlett passed 300 appearences for his boyhood club before Salisbury City won the Conference South play-off final to give Scott a chance to prove himself in a National League.
In the summer of 2008, Scott signed a contract extension with Salisbury. But that season, Bartlett was named as a player that had requested a transfer during a hard time off the pitch for the club. This released rumours of a move to Forest Green Rovers. However, it was soon revealed that his desire to play for the club was still there and he continued to play for Salisbury.
