Shatru of Kathmandu is a novel written by Dr. Hemang Dixit under the pseudonym Mani Dixit published in 2011. Shatru of Kathmandu is written in English. Though a work of fiction, the author has taken a real life event when someone tried to put an end to his life by shooting him as a starting point to weave the story. Shatru of Kathmandu is the story of contemporary Nepal and is centred around a figure called Shatru. The author has narrated the story of present day Nepal through fiction, which can hardly be captured by reading newspapers or reading articles. Though titled Shatru of Kathmandu, the story revolves around life in Nepal as well as life of Nepalese outside Nepal.
