G-Aerosports

G-AeroSports (previously Aerosports.Gr) was originally founded as XFL in the city of Florina in Northern Greece by a team of 3 aviation enthusiasts. Their first airplane, the Lygistis, named after an ancient local toponym, made its first flight on June 4, 1994. It is a light airplane, powered by a 50 hp VW engine, with length 7.2 m, wingspan 9.1 m and a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
A member of the team, George Iliopoulos, proceeded with the formation of the current company, developing and building a rather innovative type, the SF/1 Archon (Ruler), which has the configuration of a fifth-generation jet fighter and made its first flight on June 11, 2009. The light plane, two complete copies of which have been built by the company, is offered for sale in a kit form and is to be produced under license in Canada.
Other company models include the G-802 Atairon light two-seater sports plane (first flight on December 20, 2017) and the two-seater SF-2T Archon (first flight on April 04, 2022).
