Carcraft Engineering was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Terry Whiteman and his son Leigh founded the company in Lytham in the county of Lancashire in 1991 . They began with the production of automobiles and Kits. The brand name was CC . In 2000 the production ended. A total of more than 30 copies were produced.
Vehicles
The first model was Zero. The base was a tubular steel frame . The open body consisted largely of aluminum panels, only the front and the fenders were made of fiberglass.
Many parts, including the two-cylinder engine, came from Fiat 126 . Zero Engineering continued production from 1995 to 2004. A total of about 21 copies were produced.
At 1994 followed the Cyclone . This was a roadster with a similarity to the Lotus Seven . A Vauxhall Motors mid-engine, usually a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2000 cc and turbocharger, propelled the vehicle.
Lawrence Garside Engineering took over the project in 2000, but stopped production in the same year. This model found about 32 buyers.
