Fuwdo

Fuwdo is an American influenced rock band from Budapest, Hungary. The band has had 3 EP releases to date with the current being "Past and Present Collide" released January 1, 2009. The band consists of singer Peter Kiss, guitarist Endre Ujhelyi, guitarist Steve Kis-ivan, bassist Balint(Play-Doh!)Molnar and drummer Adam Darida. The band is currently planning on writing songs for a full length album.
BAND HISTORY
The Beginning
The band was founded in august 2005 by singer/guitarist Peter Kiss, guitarist Endre Ujhelyi, drummer Nikku Vaszilisz and Bassist Slapec. The early years of the band were of a pop punk feel in which they played a few covers while writing their own songs, the outcome of which led to their first EP "Six Month Coma" The band shortly after started to gain more popularity amongst the underground scene in Hungary, especially in Budapest and Szekesfehervar. Soon after bassist Slapec left the band due to a change in the bands stlye.
The band began to follow more of the style of bands such as Senses Fail, Glassjaw, and Armor for Sleep. By this time the band felt they needed a new drummer, one with more experience and feel for a harder drum sound. They found their second drummer, Thomas Karas alongside Balint Molnar the new (and current) bass player. A notable change can be heard in their second EP entitled "Turn the Lights Off". But due to personal reasons, the band parted ways with Thomas Karas
2007
The band was becoming more serious which led to the decision of bringing in a new guitarist, Steve Kis-ivan, and drummer Adam Darida. They immediately began writing new songs as a new formation which resulted in the release of a b-side song, "Put a Bullet in You Head" through a music video which featured the band performing in an abandoned school gym of a ghost town once occupied by the Russians in the post-war/communism era. Shortly after however, singer Peter Kiss felt a need to return to his Canadian roots and left the band to move back to Canada. The band felt it impossible to find a replacement singer that fit, causing the band to collapse.
=== 2007 "Hiatus" 2008 ===
Peter Kiss decided to once again return to Hungary. The band reformed in June of 2008 and began writing songs which resulted in the new EP "the Past and Present Collide". The band plans to return to the scene in 2009 with many concerts with familiar bands and new ones aswell.
