FunAdvice.com is a social networking question-and-answer (Q&A) website. Users register to ask and answer questions, rate photos, chat, and write how-to guides. In July 2009, FunAdvice.com was ranked 18th in comScore's social networking category and was the fastest growing social networking website after Twitter.
History
FunAdvice was launched in March 2003 by Jeremy Goodrich, Ericson Smith, and Widhadh Waheed as a showcase of search engine optimization (SEO).
The website operated with part-time employees until August 2006 when FunAdvice hired its first full-time employees. FunAdvice incorporated in July 2007.
Main features
There is a point system at FunAdvice that allows a user to gain points for valuable postings and convert it into US dollars. The point system is an incentive to urge users to submit more valuable content.
FunAdvice also hosts sections for "How To" tutorials, "Tips", and video uploads.

Criticisms
Although answers are comprehensive, they are fewer and slower.
The newest version of FunAdvice, launched in May 2010 takes on more of a "social networking" style.
