FS Passengers is a commercial add-on for Microsoft's Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 created by Daniel Polli. It enables virtual pilots to simulate passengers on board, create a virtual airline and simulate earning money by flying, control inflight services like food and movies, among features.
After every session the user is graded on various aspects of the flight, which will add/deduct points for company image and pilot rating accordingly. It has a comprehensive system of aircraft failures and will reward the pilot if the flight was successful and if the passengers were properly served. It also has a database of dangerous places and the user runs the risk of being attacked if the aircraft is flown in those places. There is an economic mode which enables the user to create a company, buy aircraft, maintain aircraft, fly actual flights and maintain profit. There is also a career mode which the player must earn ratings to fly bigger aircraft through making successful flights. FS Passengers adds a persistent world where the player's actions carry consequences, adding aspects of business simulation games such as Airline Tycoon series into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The review on simFlight highly praises the product, but also criticises on its lack of variety on crew voice packs and the lack of auto-save. The software has attracted a large following in the flight simulation community and is the second highest selling product on simMarket of all times. FS Passengers is not currently compatible for use with Flight Simulator X but a new version is in the final stages of production and is scheduled for release in Nov of 2008, Christmas at the latest according to the website. However frequent estimates for the products release date have been and gone, so whether it really will come out in time for Christmas is anybody's guess. This new version is designed for use with FSX.
