History
Fly Away Simulation was initially called RB's Aircraft Hangar (2000-2001), providing freeware downloads and add-ons for the Microsoft Flight Simulator range. In 2002, the name was changed to Fly Away Simulation and a TLD .com domain name was launched. The site was also redesigned and relaunched with a fully dynamic engine.
In 2006, Fly Away Simulation was the primary launch advertising partner for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Microsoft used Fly Away Simulation for its web based advertising of Flight Simulator X (or FSX), along with newsletter advertising reaching members email inboxes.

Fly Away Simulation has gained popularity over the years, and become a hub for flight simulation enthusiasts. The forums have a large following, with over 125,000 members as of August 2010. The site has regular returning visitors from all parts of the globe.
