Free Charity Cars is a social networking and rating site. It is a nationwide project of The Original 1-800-Charity Cars. Its purpose is to provide refurbished donated vehicles to struggling individuals or qualified entities. It allows users to cast votes to decide whom is most deserving of a Free Charity Car.
Website features
Users can create a profile, apply for a free car, earn and cast votes, add friends, send messages, update their status, and upload photos & videos. Individuals who do not need a Free Charity Car can create a profile to receive gifts, automotive related help, or they can transfer their votes to another user.
Generating votes
Generating votes is crucial to receiving a Free Charity Car. By generating votes, a user's profile attains a higher page rank, thus moving the user up the list to receive gifts, automotive related help, or a Free Charity Car.
There are numerous ways to generate votes. After creating a profile, a user can submit a short story explaining why they are the most deserving candidate and how receiving a Free Charity Car would impact their life. This earns the user 5 votes.
Creating & posting original Free Charity Cars videos is a greatly encouraged way to earn votes. Users can create an unlimited number of videos, and are awarded a minimum of 25 votes per video. Receiving a free charity car
Qualifying to receive a Free Charity Car is based on many factors, which include, but are not limited to: number of votes / page rank, story, available vehicles, and website contribution (such as number or quality of videos created).
Once a vehicle becomes available in a particular geographic location, the Free Charity Cars team begins reviewing the applications of the members with the most votes / highest page rank who live in that general vicinity.
Even if a user's page rank is lower than someone else's, the user may receive a vehicle if his/her story is inspirational enough. However, it is strongly emphasized that the application is more likely to be reviewed if he/she has a high page rank.
