Frédéric (Fred) Charles Lambert (born August 2, 1991) is a Canadian writer and podcaster who is known for his reporting on Tesla and the electric vehicle industry. He is a founding member of Electrek and has been editor-in-chief of the publication since 2015. Lambert hosts the Electrek Podcast with Electrek publisher Seth Weintraub. The Electrek Podcast often ranks in the top automotive podcasts in the United States. Inverse called Lambert a "driving force in electric transportation". Lambert has been accused of "forwarding the rosy narrative" of Elon Musk and Tesla in his reporting by automotive publication The Drive; According to Business Insider, Lambert "admits that, of the 6,000 articles he's written about Tesla and Musk in the past five years, 95% were positive"; a 2020 op-ed critical of Musk was "staunchly" negative. |
