For New Orleans

For New Orleans: A Benefit For The Musicians' Village Habitat For Humanity is an American benefit double-disc CD, with tracks from Minnesota artists and national artists. All of the net proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated to Musicians' Village in New Orleans.
The album has 30 tracks, of which 13 are previously unreleased. Also included is a 36-page booklet featuring a photo and a thought on New Orleans from each artist.
Paul Westerberg appears on the album under the alias PW & The Honky Heartattax.
Jeff Buckley's previously unreleased recording of "I Shall Be Released" was recorded September 6, 1992 on a radio show at WFMU. Chris Cunningham called him from Nick Hill's Music Faucet show, and he sings live via telephone from Irwin Chusid's home in Hoboken, New Jersey. Guest musicians in the studio are Barry Reynolds, Chris Cunningham, Michelle Kinney and Jeff Gordon.
The album was available at the label Sugarfoot Music's website from December 7, 2006. The national release date however, was April 24, 2007.
