Floyd C. Bayne

Floyd C. Bayne (born 1957 in Richmond, Virginia), is a recent graduate, family man and politician from Richmond, Virginia. He is currently a conservative candidate for the Independent Greens of Virginia in Virginia's 7th congressional district election in 2010.
Early Life
Bayne was brought up in a home in the Southside of Richmond in what was then called "dogtown" or "dogpatch." His father, Gene Bayne, owned three supermarkets in Southside of Richmond, which Floyd would help run in later years.
Education and Career
Bayne is one class away from receiving a B.A. in History with minors in Political Science and Education at Mary Baldwin College. Bayne was the Vice President of Gene's Super Market, a family owned business started by his father. He also owned a security company. to represent the 7th district which consists predominantly of Richmond suburbs and rural counties in Central Virginia, cutting a diagonal swatch that runs from the western part of Richmond City all the way to the opposite side of the Shenandoah Valley in Page County. Some of Bayne's endorsements include the Virginia Liberty Party, the Virginia Chapter of the American Conservative Party, Liberty Candidates, Bring Home the Politicians, Retake Congress. Floyd also has the personal endorsement of Donna Holt, the Executive Director of Virginia's Campaign for Liberty. Floyd has signed pledges for The Tenth Amendment Center, Rule of Law Restoration and Americans for Tax Reform - Tax Payer Protection Pledge. Rick Waugh of the Democratic Party of Virginia is also challenging Eric Cantor for the November 2nd, 2010 election for the 7th District.
Issues
Bayne calls himself a strict Constitutionalist with a libertarian lean and is for personal Liberty. He wishes to end the Department of Education because he says to much money that is for the schools gets wasted in Washington and Doesn't make into the local classroom. Bayne much like Ron Paul wants to abolish the IRS and the personal income tax and to abolish the Federal Reserve.
Personal life
Floyd and his wife live in Brandermill in a subdivison in Chesterfield County, Virginia. They have two children a daughter and a son.<ref name="bayneone"/>
